I. The energy storage sector receives more positive news!
In the field of new energy, energy storage technology has always been a focus of attention. On September 17, 2025, the 2025 World Energy Storage Conference opened in Ningde City. Liu Xinyan, Deputy Director of the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released the “New Energy Storage Technology Development Roadmap (2025-2035)” at the conference. The roadmap aims to achieve a total installed capacity of new energy storage exceeding 180 million kilowatts by 2027, exceeding 240 million kilowatts by 2030, and exceeding 300 million kilowatts by 2035.
On the same day, in the A-share market, energy storage concept stocks saw a collective surge. CATL’s stock price rose by as much as 8% during intraday trading, reaching a new high. By the close of trading, nearly 20 related concept stocks, including Kingfa Technology, Sega Technology, and Jiaze New Energy, had hit their daily limit or risen by more than 10%, while CATL rose by 6.7%, with its total market capitalization exceeding 1.7 trillion yuan.

II. Energy Storage Concept Stocks Experience a Surge in Price Limits
On September 17th, A-share energy storage concept stocks collectively strengthened. By the close of trading, nearly 20 related concept stocks, including TBEA, Fujia Co., Ltd., Kingfa Technology, Sega Technology, Baoguang Co., Ltd., Jiaze New Energy, Kosen Technology, Weilan Lithium, Baoxin Technology, and Anhui High-Tech, had reached their daily price limits or risen by more than 10%. Xinwanda and Goldwind Technology rose by over 7%, and CATL rose by 6.7%.
On the same day, the 2025 World Energy Storage Conference opened in Ningde City. The conference was jointly organized by the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ningde Municipal People’s Government. With “Zero Carbon, Technology” as its permanent theme and “A New Era of Energy Storage, Zero Carbon for the Future” as its annual theme, the conference aims to create a global benchmark for leading energy storage entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development.
At the conference, Liu Xinyan, Deputy Director of the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released the “New Energy Storage Technology Development Roadmap (2025-2035)”. The roadmap outlines the following development goals: By 2027, the new energy storage industry will enter the initial stage of large-scale development, with national new energy storage installed capacity exceeding 180 million kilowatts; by 2030, the new energy storage industry will achieve full market-oriented development, with national new energy storage installed capacity exceeding 240 million kilowatts; and by 2035, national new energy storage installed capacity will exceed 300 million kilowatts.
According to Jiemian News, Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of CATL, pointed out at the opening ceremony of the conference that in the past five years, guided by the “dual carbon” strategic goals, China has introduced many energy storage policies, from forward-looking layout guidance to phased and precise policy implementation, and then to central and local government collaboration, which has promoted the development of China’s energy storage industry from small-scale research and demonstration to large-scale industrialization. China has become the world’s largest energy storage market.
Zeng Yuqun pointed out that in the past five years, the cumulative installed capacity of new energy storage globally has increased 11 times; under the guidance of various policies, China’s cumulative installed capacity of new energy storage has increased by 20 times, becoming the world’s largest energy storage market. Zeng Yuqun stated that China currently possesses the world’s most complete and largest-scale energy storage technology, and the most advanced energy storage industry chain; the shipment volume of energy storage batteries and systems accounts for over 90% and 70% of the global market, respectively. The document No. 136, released earlier this year, marks a new stage of global marketization for China’s energy storage industry. However, Zeng Yuqun also pointed out that the energy storage industry still faces many challenges, such as fierce price competition and disorderly expansion. He proposed that it is necessary to maintain safety standards, build a trustworthy market environment, strengthen intellectual property protection, and encourage innovation.
